Detailed Note Regarding Social Work Practicum (Paper No. 7)
1.No grace marks shall be allowed for passing in Social Work Practicum
2.The Social Work Practicum - Concurrent Practice Learning shall be supervised by an approved Social Work teacher of the R.T.M. Nagpur University, Nagpur.
3.The Social Work Practicum shall comprise of the following components and the paper shall have the maximum marks of 150.

4.The marks for .concurrent practice learning Group project, study tour shall be, allotted by the respective Faculty member who has supervised these activities oh the basis of a continuous evaluation.
5.The Viva-Voce marks will be awarded exclusively by the External Examiner appointed by the Nagpur University. The marks will be on the following basis. :
a) Concurrent Practice 20 Marks (Max.)
b) Group Research Project 20 Marks (Max.)
c) Study Tour 10 Marks (Max.)
6.An internal co-ordinator will be nominated by the college as a facilitator who will - be present during the Viva-Voce. However he/she will not allot any marks for the Viva-Voce. The role of the internal co-ordinator will be to compile the marks of all the students from the concerned faculty supervisor in the college, for concurrent Practice learning; Group Research Project, and study Tour in the prescribed Proforma developed by Nagpur University. He/She will submit those marks to Nagpur University along with the roll Numbers of the Students in the prescribed Proforma with the signatures of the concerned Faculty supervisors. He will keep ready the internal marks before the actual date of practicum examination.
7.The records of Social work Practicum will include Practicum Journal, files (s), diary and attendance sheets and the Group Research Project report. All the records will be preserved in the college for minimum of Three Years.
8. All the components of Social work practicum will he compulsory and there will be no substitute for the same. An absent student will lose those marks for that particular component / activity.
9.The student who fails in Social work Practicum shall have to report the entire practicum as a regular student in next- subsequent academic session. The, performance of the students shall be assessed on the basis of the fresh work by the student.
10.The duration of Social work practicum shall be a minimum of 15 (Fifteen) clock hours. Spread over two days in a week and the Practicum will continue throughout the academic session. A minimum of 30 visits/ days will be utilized for concurrent Practice learning component.
11.The colleges shall follow the guidelines contained in the Social work Practicum Manual prepared by the Nagpur University, regarding the above components.
12.The concurrent practice learning shall have the teaching workload of one clock hour per student per week. The study tour shall have the work load of one teaching lecture of forty - five minutes per week.
Detailed Note Regarding Group Research Project:
13.Each group formed by the college for the purpose of Group Research Project shall comprise of maximum of three students.
14.Each group research project shall be supervised by an approved lecturer of Nagpur University, belonging to the Core Domain, Supportive Domain and Inter disciplinary Domain of Social Work Education as worked out by the University Grants Commission.
15.Each group', Research Project shall get workload of four lecture of forty-five minutes duration per week.
16. The subject of group research project should be related to the broad areas indicated under the core, supportive, interdisciplinary and elective domain of social work education.
17. One copy of the bound group research project together with one certificate from the research guide must be ready with the college / Institution before one" month of the commencement of the final examination.
